NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Test of the electronic voting equipment to be used at the April 4, 2017, Spring Election is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the Spring Brook Town Hall (N3519 810th Street; [rural] Elk Mound).  This test is open to the general public.

SPRING ELECTION
Tuesday, April 4, 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the electors of the Town of Spring Brook, Dunn County, Wisconsin, that a Spring Election will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Spring Brook Town Hall (N3519  810th Street; [rural] Elk Mound, WI) for State Superintendent of Public Instruction; Justice of the Supreme Court; Town of Spring Brook Municipal Offices; and School Board Members for Eau Claire, Elk Mound, and Menomonie schools.  Sample (full) ballots are posted at the Town Hall outside posting board and are available online at myvote.wi.gov.  The Town Hall is accessible to all voters, including elderly and disabled voters.  Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Voter registration is required.  Photo identification is required.  At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. 19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as a joint meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers and the Municipal Board of Canvassers for the purpose of conducting the municipal canvasses pursuant to Wis. Stat. 7.51 and 7.53(1).  This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.81-89.  If necessary, the Town of Spring Brook Municipal Board of Canvassers shall meet on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 4 p.m. at the Spring Brook Town Hall to process and document any provisional ballots.

To request an absentee ballot:  Send a letter with your name, local address, mailing address (if different), date of the election, and that you are requesting an absentee ballot.  The letter must include your signature.  Also, send a copy of your photo identification.  In some cases, spouses may include both their names and signatures on one letter rather than send two separate letters.  Also, you may call the Town Hall Office to schedule an appointment to vote absentee in person.  The State of Wisconsin requires voter registration for all voters.
